Name: Captain Joseph Tusker

Captain Tusker is an elderly beaver that currenty runs the ferry between Hope Island and San Pedro. As a young man, he worked on a larger sailing trade ship. He made it through the ranks and eventually learned a lot about repair work as a trade skill.

Too old to keep pace with the younger guys on a ship, and too young to retire, he found a small boat and fixed it up. Now, he runs people and cargo back and forth on a daily basis using his fast sailboat.

• He is good natured and used to dealing with non-sailors.
• Won't make fun of people who get seasick, and will try to keep people comfortable. He gets all types on his boat,
• Very calm under pressure or during storms.
