July 5th, 2022 Update

I'm pretty bad at updating this journal, but we just redid all the MUCK policies and slightly streamlined the player start process among other things I've forgotten by now :)

August 22nd, 2021 Update

There's been a good amount of work I've forgotten to update around mapping the island and updating descriptions. Also, I've upgraded our backups from a weekly backup to a daily backup after the Wiki got spammed. Didn't really lose any data, but no need to risk a situation where we DO lose data. Also this is better for the MUCK as well.

July 27th, 2021 Update

Added the ability to set WC/LZ zone info into editroom, fixed a minor parent room selection bug which probably nobody ever noticed.

July 25th, 2021 Update

Fixed long time bug with PDTC not editing / deleting board messages correctly.

July 20th, 2021 Update

Started building the new Wiki system. This uses Dokuwiki instead of MediaWiki so that I can get rid of the MySQL database and lighten the load on the server a bit. I'm also cleaning out old articles and adding some new more relevant stuff.

July 17th, 2021 Update

First things first: I keep forgetting to update this! Second thing, remade the website in not-WordPress for security reasons. Added a way for people to register on the website and for the wizards to approve in-MUCK and trigger emails. This enables us all to approve new characters, not just one person.

There have also been numerous bugfixes and minor improvements that I can't recall off the top of my head :) But I will try to remember to update this thing.

Also, change in management; Ari is now the head-wiz with Isidore remaining as theme-wiz.

November 27th, 2019 Update

Fixed a longstanding bug with PDTC where if you have more than 7 conversations they wouldn't all show up correctly on the conversation list.

November 22nd, 2019 Update

So there has been work done, but I have been really lazy about making it public. We now have a combat program!

This system is made to be sort of a pit-fighting, mortal-combat style thing with rapid back and forths. It doesn't have a lot of fancy extras; there's no stats, no weapons, you just pick your combat experience level and then duke it out. If it is found to be useful and enjoyable, I may expand it to include more advanced features, but this is just a dipping-the-toes-in-the-water thing.

To play, type: “cb #help” or “c: #help”, both will work. You will need to get set up with “cb #setup” and then you can find some challengers!

July 27th, 2019 Update

Wow … exactly one month later!

So there's been a lot of little fixes I've done between then and now, but here's a major update. The ferry now takes a lot less time to travel, and has its own separate landing room so it won't spam the docks anymore. The landing room is linked off the Hope Island Marina and the San Pedro port.

Also, San Pedro has become a “first class citizen” as we call it in the programming world, as far as WZ aka LC is concerned. San Pedro places will now show up in its own block of stuff alongside Hope Island, so that people can set up zones just like on Hope. This also paves the way for better weather and PDTC support so SP can have its own weather, etc.
