====== Public Information ====== **Name:** Avi **Gender:** Female **Species:** Bobtailed Nekomimi **Occupation:** Explorer / Cartographer ====== Biography ====== Avi is an individual intentionally shrouded in mystery. She doesn't talk much about her past, where she came from, why she's on Hope Island. For all intents and purposes, she stepped off the boat one day with little more than the tattered camping equipment settled on her back. Since arriving on the island, Avi's place among the island's residents has been in near constant flux. She's clearly not used to crowds or dealing with people for an extended period; she tends to grow uncomfortable when too many people are about. She makes frequent trips out into the island's interior, seeming intent to explore and chart as much of the island as she can. She's let a few things drop about her history, though. She grew up with both her parents. They were nomadic to a degree, traveling along the interior of the eastern coast of what was once the United States. She left on her own to explore and roam, which seems to be the bulk of her life between then and arriving on Hope Island. She survived by hunting and trading when she had to, but largely avoided larger civilizations and settlements. All of this is subject to scrutiny, though. The only things she ever says are hard or outright impossible to verify. Her motives and drives are held close to her, but one thing is as clear as day; she can frequently be seen trailing in Jeriel's wake, seeming quite protective of the fox. ====== Rumors ====== * She prowls around the town and surrounding areas at night, long after most of the island has settled down for the night. * She's an escapee from a west coast lab trying to bring humans back. * The way she handles her knife suggests she's remarkably skilled with it. * Her skin is smoother than silk. * She's been spotted coming back from her hunting trips bloody but unharmed. Does she eat her kills out in the wilds? * If you scratch just above her bobtail, she elevator-butts and chitter-chirps.
